Water Games

The Mia Maids planned the combined activity for the month of July. They planned 4 different fun games for all the youth to participate in.
The first game was flour tag. We took old panty hose, cut them up, tied a knot in one end and filled them a scoop of flour then tied a knot in the other end. Instant flour tag ammo. We divided the youth into 2 groups. The game started off with 2 kids from each team going against each other. As soon as you were tagged you ran back to your team and the next teammate came out. The game rotated like this trough several turns. Then we had a massive all in flour tag war.
Maddy ready to get tagged into the game.

Hi Jessica!
The game is in full swing.

Andrew, armed and ready.                              Ready Aim Fire.

Sydney didn't want her pic taken.

Shirley got bombarded with flour balls.
She's feeling the love.

The next game we played was water balloon volley ball. Once again we paired the youth up and then split them into teams. The kids got the hang of the game very quickly and it soon turned into a huge competition. It make it a little more challenging we threw 2 water balloons into the mix and the kids had a blast.
We could have played this all night long. It was a blast.

Water Balloon Volleyball = fun for all ages.

Our third game of the night was steal the bacon; H2O style. If you've ever wondered what happens when you take 2 teams, 1 kiddie pool filled with water, 1 wet rag and call out numbers here is the result.

Things started out friendly and calm.

Then it quickly turned into this.

Jenn got the hose, just in case anyone wasn't quite wet enough.

Maddy flattened Jed. Poor kid.

The boys played nicer then the girls.

This is what happens when 4 different numbers are called.
 WAR!

Steal the bacon stole the show.

The final game was a sponge relay. The already soaking wet kids were split back up into 2 teams. There was a starting bucketing full of water and an ending bucket which was empty. The first person grabbed a wet sponge ball and soaked it with water. Then they passed to the next person in line over their head. That person passed it onto the next in line under their legs. Then over the head, under the legs, over the head. You get the picture.
If not here are the pics.

Over, under, over, under, over under.

I loved Makenna's hair in this pic.

Another fun, successful combined Young Men / Young Women activity.

Here are a few more random pics from the activity.

Did Shirley really think she was going to get to go home dry!

The kids were literally rolling in the grass with laughter.

Faith Factor

The marvelous Beehives put together this rockin' combined activity. The youth were divided into 4 groups of about 12 kids. They were asked a question pertaining to the gospel. The group that answered first did not have to participate in the challenge. The other groups chose 1 person to represent them in the challenge.
The challenges ranged from assembling a puzzle the fastest, to eating a blended up Whopper meal.
The evening was a huge success and every one had a blast.
Enjoy the pics.

Nothing tastes as good as liver hidden in spaghetti.
They just had to find the pieces of liver not eat them.

The Whopper meal being blended. Yum!

Bottom's up Chris!
He still hasn't forgiven me.

Cheeto face. Covered in shaving cream trying to get as many Cheetos to stick as possible.
